Torrid 2022 has created ‘a good entry point’ for European small caps

Europe has been described as ‘out of favour’ to investors over the past decade. The region suffered from a high degree of volatility over the course of 2022 in particular, arising from the war in Ukraine and ballooning inflation, accompanied by ECB rate hikes. Charlton young guns fire the Addicks past playoff-contending Barnsley

Youngsters Jes Rak-Sakyi and Tyreece Campbell fired Charlton to a 2-0 win over playoff contenders Barnsley at The Valley.

The victory marks the third league game in a row where the Addicks have taken all three points.

Nineteen-year-old winger Campbell scored a stunning solo goal to open the scoring, picking the ball up on the left flank before driving at the Barnsley defence and releasing a left footed shot that beat Tykes goalkeeper Bradley Collins at his near post.

Super subs Cresswell and Afobe seal Millwall’s first win in 4 with a 2-0 win against Cardiff

By Christian Mayes at The Den

Goals from substitutes Charlie Cresswell and Benik Afobe proved the difference in an otherwise even contest at the Den as hosts Millwall ended their poor run of form with a 2-0 win against Cardiff.

Cresswell, on in place of the injured Millwall captain Shaun Hutchinson, rose above the Cardiff defence in a crowded 6-yard box to head the home side in front from an in-swinging corner taken by Scott Malone after 63 minutes.
